Create and track prayer requests
Keep prayer requests organized by category and mark them answered.
Updated October 27, 2026
Keep the people and needs you’re praying for in one place, and look back to see how God has answered.
Add a prayer request
- Open the Prayer tab.
- Tap Add to create a new request.
- Write the request and choose a category (such as family, health, or work).
Organize and revisit
Requests are grouped by category so you can pray through them a section at a time.
Set a reminder for a request
Sacred can remind you to pray for a specific request.
- Open the request.
- Under Reminders, tap Add reminder. (You can also set one while creating a request: tap Remind me to pray for this.)
- Pick a time.
- Choose how often: Once, Daily, Weekly or Custom days — for the last two, tap the days you want.
- Tap Save.
You can add several reminders at different times, for example one in the morning and one in the evening. Sacred refuses a second reminder with the same time and days as one the request already has (a daily reminder counts as every day) and tells you so before it is saved.
Each reminder has a switch to pause it and a bin icon to remove it. Tap a reminder to change its time or days. Tapping the notification opens the request with a prayer session already started.
If notifications are turned off for Sacred in your phone’s settings, the reminder is saved (and synced to your other devices) but cannot show until you turn them on. Settings → Notifications → Prayer request reminders pauses all request reminders at once.
Mark a prayer answered
When a prayer is answered:
- Open the request.
- Mark it answered and, if you like, add a note about how it was answered.
Answered prayers move to their own list — Answered Prayers on the Prayer tab — a quiet record of faithfulness to look back on.
