About Sacred
Sacred is a companion for daily worship — a quiet place to sing, pray, and reflect. What began in 2016 as a single hymnal app has grown, over 10+ years, into one home for your hymns, prayers, and journal, with more on the way.
Our mission
We exist to make worship a daily, accessible habit — to help people of every language and nation turn their hearts to God through song, prayer, and Scripture. We believe music is spiritual by nature, that congregational singing shapes the soul, and that worship is something families can grow in together.
Our story
Sacred began in 2016 as Sacred Songs & Solos — a simple way to carry a beloved hymnal in your pocket. Over the years, and with the encouragement of a faithful community, it has grown into Sacred: one app that brings together a growing library of Christian hymn books — many in more than one language — alongside tools for prayer and reflection. The goal has never changed: to put the gifts of worship within easy reach, on the device already in your hand, without clutter or distraction.
What Sacred is today
- A growing library of hymn books — searchable, singable with tunes, and available offline, with several collections published in more than one language.
- Prayer — prayer requests, guided timed sessions, a daily verse, and Prayer Gate to help you pause and pray before the apps that distract you.
- A private journal and notes — a calm, personal space that lives on your device, and follows you across devices with Sacred Premium.
- The Bible — coming soon, so Scripture sits right alongside your hymns and prayers.
What we believe
Worship draws us near to God. Music is one of the clearest ways the heart learns to pray, and a hymn learned at home can stay with a family for a lifetime. Our aim is simply to make these gifts easy to reach and a natural part of each day.
Who we are
Sacred is built by Church Cloud Technologies LLC, a small, mission-driven team. We are grateful for every church, family, and individual who sings and prays with Sacred, and for the musicians and volunteers who have shared arrangements and recordings along the way.
Hymn copyrights
Many of the hymns in Sacred are in the public domain; others are used with the permission of their copyright holders. Every effort has been made to contact the copyright holders of the compositions in the hymnals that are not in the public domain. If you are aware of any errors or omissions, please let us know at contact@getsacred.app so we can put it right.
