Why Sacred works offline first
Worship and a quiet time with God do not wait for a signal. Here is how Sacred keeps your hymns, notes, and journal available anywhere.

Church basements, airplanes, rural retreats — some of the most meaningful moments of worship happen exactly where connectivity is worst. So Sacred is offline first: the app never assumes you have a signal.
Your content lives on your device
Hymns, favorites, tags, notes, prayer activity, and your journal are all stored locally. Opening the app, searching for a hymn, or jotting a reflection never waits on the network — it’s instant.
Sync happens quietly in the background
When you sign in and you’re online, your changes sync automatically so your library follows you from phone to tablet. If you go offline mid-edit, nothing is lost; the app catches up the next time it can reach the server.
Private by design
Your personal content is protected in transit and at rest. We don’t use your notes or journal for advertising. Sacred is meant to be a quiet, trustworthy place for your devotional life.
More to come — we’ll keep sharing how Sacred is built as we grow.
